what is boiler

It is a type of tank or a vessel called. Whose job is to convert water into vapor. This water is used and that water is boiled with the help of tap energy. Water is boiled so much that it turns into vapor and we use this steam for cooking, generating energy.

Due to the production of steam from water, that is, steam, it is also called a steam generator.

Boiler Growth Journey

Talking about the history of the boiler, it is not possible to say everything right about it. Because it is believed that ever since man has learned to use fire, he has been using this energy to accomplish many tasks.

Apart from this, the development of the first human civilization is considered in India and there has been a very long series of dishes in India. Many dishes are made only by steaming water. That is why it is not possible to say in which country the boiler was first invented and when.

Nevertheless, if we look at the history of boilers, then written evidence of them is seen in the Roman Empire in Europe. The development of the modern boiler has taken a very long development journey and after this, the boiler of today came into existence.

The story of the steam engine also rests on the boiler itself. It is believed that on a winter’s day, James Watt was at home with his mother and his mother kept something on the stove to boil.

James Watt was also sitting there watching it. After some time he saw that the lid of the kettle was moving up and down and due to this sound was being produced. When James went near and saw it, he was surprised at how much power there is in the stream of water.

Which is able to lift a metal lid easily and then does the world know after this that James Watt made the world’s first steam-powered engine.

After his invention, on the basis of the steam engine, the man completed a very big development journey in a very short time. It was only a few years ago that trains used to run on the tracks on the basis of steam engines.

Initially, the bowlers were made. The design of those boilers did not go unnoticed. Each person used to shape it according to his own and according to his work.

Trevithick was the first to inform that the tightening part of the boiler should be strong and which part can bear more pressure. When he first invented such a steam-powered boiler that could absorb very high pressure.

Types of Boilers

There are many types of boilers available today. These boilers can be divided into many parts on different bases. As if

1. Tube-based boiler

2. Furnace condition and based boiler

3. On the basis of the working condition of the boiler

4. Depending on the amount of water and steam generated

5. On Fuel Basis

6. Depending on the pressure

7. On the basis of combustion of fuel

8. Fuel Feeding Basis

Based on Tube

on the basis of the tube used in the boiler, the boiler can be divided into two parts.

1. Fire Tube Boiler

In these types of boilers, there is a fire inside the tube, and water is kept around these tubes. With the help of a fire inside the tube, the water flowing outwards is converted into steam. This boiler is used in such places. Where we need low-pressure steam.

2. Water Tube Boiler

In this type of boiler, water flows inside the tube and fire is on the outside. Due to this the water flowing in the tube produces more steam. This type of steam is used in such places where we need more pressure.

Boiler based on Furunance

We can also divide this type of boiler into two parts.

1. External Fired Boiler –

In this type of boiler, the fire is kept separate and the water is kept separately. That’s why it is called external fired boiler. In this, the fire is kept outside the furnace.

2. Internally Fired Boiler –

It is the exact opposite of boiler external. In this type of boiler, the fire remains on the inside of the furnace and the water flows outside.

Boiler depending on the condition

Boilers can be divided into three parts on the basis of working conditions.

1. Vertical Boiler

2. Horizontal Boiler

3. Inkland Boiler

4. Stationary Boiler –

This boiler is fixed in one place, it cannot change its position. In the stationary boiler, all those big boilers come, which are made in the company’s building.

If we talk about its example, then FBC boiler, CFBC boiler, PFBC boiler are also examples of the stationary boiler, all these boilers are fixed in one place.

Portable Boiler

The portable boiler is also called a mobile boiler. Marine boilers are an example of this type of boiler, this boiler is used in ships.

In this way, being in the ship, the marine boiler keeps changing its position from one place to another. So this type of boiler is called portable boiler and mobile boiler.
